The Village of Brockport is located along the historic Erie Canal just to the west of Rochester.  Located in the Town of Sweden, it is Monroe County’s largest village with a population of over eight thousand.  It is the home of the State University College at Brockport, Lakeside Memorial Hospital and Allied Frozen Foods.  Brockport’s historic downtown is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places and is a Preserve America Community.  The new Welcome Center, located at 11 Water Street on the Erie Canal, is the information center for local businesses and other news.


 

Where to Shop

Discover the quaint shops in Brockport’s Downtown Historical District.  Listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places Brockport’s Downtown boasts the only intact Victorian downtown in the area.  You can enjoy a variety of retail stores from the bookstore to the bike shop.  There is something for everyone!

Where to Dine

There is no shortage of dining choices in Brockport.  From our vintage diner to great down home Southern barbeque, our restaurants will please the most discriminating epicurean.  Don’t forget breakfast at Coleen’s Cafe!

Where to Stay

Fine lodging can be found within the village at the B&B or just to the south in the Town of Sweden.  Rochester, just a 20 minute drive, can also accommodate you at 5 Star hotels.

The organization sponsors various events throughout the year including the Annual Sidewalk Sale, Community Halloween Party and Christmas Open House on the Canal.  The organization also contributes through its membership the beautification of downtown and supports other charitable organization.
